15 Mar Artist Callout: Art in Bloom: A Peony Art Exhibit
The City of Noblesville and Nickel Plate Arts are partnering to present a peony-themed exhibit in City Hall in May and June 2023. The program will showcase peony-related artwork by local artists in the Hamilton County region in conjunction with the Indiana Peony Festival, scheduled for May 20, 2023.
The gallery space in City Hall has exhibited work by local artists for over a decade and is a high-traffic spot that brings visibility to local talent, while celebrating Noblesville’s artistic heritage.
Up to 40 pieces will be selected for this exhibit, depending on size, shape and connection to the theme. Artwork will be installed May 1, 2023 and displayed through June 29th. Artwork must be picked up on June 29th or 30th between 1 pm and 4 pm. All mediums of art are welcome. The name of the artist, the title of the artwork, and price will be displayed on a label with each piece of art, and information about how to purchase the work will be included in the exhibit.
If interested, please submit up to 3 images at the link below. All artwork must be framed or gallery-wrapped and ready to hang: artwork must have a hasp at least 3 inches wide on the back to be able to hang in the gallery space: any artwork that does not meet these requirements at the time of drop-off may be rejected. All artists must be 15 years or older and an Indiana resident or student. Preference will go to Noblesville artists.
Deadline for submission is noon on Friday, April 14th. Please submit all required information and images to NickelPlateArts.org/submit under the Noblesville City Hall header. Artists will be contacted by Friday, April 21st if their artwork has been accepted for the Art in Bloom Exhibit.
