Jerry Dreesen

Jerry Dreesen is a self-taught artist who loves to challenge himself in a variety of mediums and styles including acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and linocut print. Dreesen also experiments with clay sculpture. He says, “I have exhibited my work in various local art shows and exhibitions and have sold work including several commissions throughout the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Europe and Japan.”

Dreesen’s artistic style is eclectic. It has Asian, abstract, and modernist influences as well as sculptural. Jerry’s style can thus be both geometric and soft. The paintings he is currently working on are acrylic and pen Italian landscapes. At 82, Jerry says that he “has pretty much done everything he’s dreamed about doing.” His dream art project now is “always the one he is working on.”
