Our popular holiday exhibit is BACK for its fifth year! “Gifted” is our annual holiday exhibit-turned-gift-market and your one-stop shop for the arts enthusiasts on your holiday shopping list. Shop early for holiday cards, ornaments, gifts, and more in our Judge Stone House in downtown Noblesville. This exhibit kicks off on Black Friday, November 29, and runs through Saturday, December 28. Join us for a special Small Business Saturday event on November 30 from 10am – 5pm and be one of the first to choose from the wide selection of pottery, woodenware, jewelry, hand-knit items, home decor, holiday art, and more! A special opening reception for “Gifted” will take place on Friday, December 6 from 6-9pm. All work will be for sale and admission is free. Eat, drink and be merry this holiday season with the help of local Makers! We will feature food-related specials all day at NobleMade and during December First Friday at Nickel Plate Arts from 6-9 pm, you will be able to sample some wonderful tidbits from Jaws Food Truck like seafood gumbo and homemade beignets, carry out wine from Blackhawk Winery, and others.
Noblesville Youth Assistance would like to invite you to participate in their Fourth Annual Stuff Your Stocking Event. Anybody can buy an empty stocking from Noblesville Youth Assistance for $15. On the night of the event pick up your stocking and a map then go around to participating businesses to “Stuff” your stockings. Be sure to come visit us as we will be gifting art supplies and utensils from 5pm-8pm. All money raised from stockings will go towards providing holiday assistance to Noblesville kids who may not receive it otherwise
As an added perk, we will be holding a raffle for a specialty wine advent calendar accompanied by wine from: All Local, Blackhawk Winery, Bobbi K Samples, and Private Label cab from Matteo’s with additional holiday treats.

Description of wreath workshop: Celebrate the start of this 2019 holiday season with a DIY class learning to make your very own homemade holiday wreath! In this class you will learn how to make a traditional, lush, mixed-green wreath that is sure to bring a festive fragrance and holiday cheer to your home. Berries, pine cones, ribbons, and more will be supplied to embellish your wreath. Today is all about kids at Nickel Plate Arts! Children’s books, toys, and other kid-friendly items will be on sale at both Nickel Plate Arts and NobleMade, and Nickel Plate Arts will host family-friendly drop-in activities all day long ($5 fee for some activities). Plus, Lisa Beale from Fizzle Bathizzle will host two bath bomb-making workshops for families: create your own special bath bomb to use the night before your holiday celebration so that you can be squeaky-clean for all the fun! Workshop is $7 for each fillable bathbomb ornament and additional bath bombs will be available for $6 each.

This year they will create an experience for your children to create their own fillable Christmas ornament with bath dust. They will have all the supplies as well as some additional Christmas bath bomb designs for purchase. Just hang it on the tree and let the anticipation of Christmas begin. Then, on the night before Christmas just pour the dust into the bath and let your children have one last burst of excitement before settling in for the night. Just imagine the cool conversations you could have about Christmas over a colorful bath. The bath dust provided will be 100% lavender essential oil for extra relaxation.”

Come relax with us and blend up a lovely batch of herbal tea while you are out shopping. Sign up for our soy candle class to give a truly unique gift or keep it for yourself to enjoy. We hope to bring a little bit of relaxation and calmness to your week.

You will also be able to decorate your candle with crystals, herbs and flowers and much more!

Description for workshop: Lighten up your busy holidays with an ugly Christmas sweater. This workshop gets you started just in time to celebrate National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day, Dec 20. We will add embellishments and decorations to make an absurdly, ugly sweater. You will be ready for every celebration and party of the season. BYOS (Bring Your Own Sweater) and just a hint, it doesn’t have to be red or green.

You cannot find a more unique gift than an original work of art – they are one-of-a-kind! Artist prints can also be an affordable way to give something beautiful this holiday season. Luckily for you, we’ll have specials and sales on both during our Eleventh Day of Christmas event! If you happen to be an artist, you are invited to participate in our Artist Critique – veteran artist and 2017 Artist of the Year Rodney Reveal will lead a gentle-yet-insightful critique conversation for any artist who is interested in gathering some feedback on a particular piece of art (Rodney will spend about 10 minutes on each piece). This critique – part of our Art of Business series – is free, but Rodney suggests that you give a $10 donation to Nickel Plate Arts for staying open late!
