In partnership with Hamilton East Public Library, each month we’ll feature a nature-based picture book on the trail for you to enjoy during a quarter-mile hike in the woods.
Books are ideal for ages 6 and under and are available all month long (rain or shine!). Don’t forget to track your participation and earn reading badges on the Beanstack app.

"We Are Grateful: Otsaliheliga " by Traci Sorrell
This self-guided hike showcases the children's book "We Are Grateful: Otsaliheliga" by Traci Sorell, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. The word "otsaliheliga" us used by members of the Cherokee Nation to express gratitude. Follow page by page as the book begins in the fall and ends in the summer and takes you through a full Cherokee year of celebrations.
