Claudia Labin takes a spiritual approach to art. “My art is all about process,” she says. “The idea comes first, and then I find the material. The art comes out raw, unframed, authentic and unexpected.” Oftentimes, it’s also truly exceptional. This September 6-28, Labin returns to the Stephenson House gallery with “Destination: Unknown.” The exhibit will be a mix of perspectives and mediums — a style Labin is becoming increasingly known for. She works in layers of color and texture, with pieces designed to stimulate the tactile senses of her audience.
For “Destination: Unknown,” Labin will display pieces that relate to the theme of voyage as journey. She gathers her inspiration from both spiritual journeys and international travel in the material world, things in which she has a wealth of experience. We welcome Claudia Labin back to the Stephenson House gallery in September for what promises to be a unique, imaginative and enlightening exhibit in “Destination: Unknown.”
