Weed Wrangle® events are hosted nationwide to gather volunteer effort to help control invasive plants that are negatively impacting our public parks, green spaces and natural areas. Community members learn to identify and control these invasive trees, shrubs, vines and plants through hands-on removal. Hamilton County is in the process of forming a CISMA (Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area) to combat the problem of invasive species spreading across the landscape. As a kickoff to the formation of our CISMA; many municipalities, parks departments, non-profits, businesses advocacy organizations and private land owners are hosting a Weed Wrangle® this spring. Join Fishers Parks & Recreation at Cheeney Creek Natural Area to take on some Garlic Mustard. We recommend that you wear long sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes and bring gloves and a water bottle. Rain or shine.
