Carmel High School Principal Earl Lemme was a radio buff. In 1963 he brought his hobby to school, making CHS one of the only high schools in the country to have its own radio station. For more than five decades WHJE DJs have played the hits and staff announcers have broadcast Greyhound games. Join us this fall as we present the history of Carmel High School’s radio and television stations. CCHS members are invited to preview the exhibit on September 6, 5-7pm!
