Bring a friend, spouse, roommate, family member, or coworker to share this incredibly fun workshop with you!

This program will introduce you to the wonderful world of “ish” drawing. This partnering workshop will require interaction with another person to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art, so bring a friend, child, partner or spouse to learn and draw with you! You will receive a Zoom link to participate in this online workshop a day or two before the workshop.

Participants will:

  • Learn 3 basic drawing exercises
  • Learn about the life of Wassily Kandinsky and create a collaborative drawing to music
  • Learn the definition of Exquisite Corpse and create their own
  • Have fun!

Participants need the following supplies:
Pencil & eraser
8.5”x11” copy paper
At least 11’x14” drawing paper
Colored markers or colored pencils
Black Sharpie or other permanent marker
Students can reserve supplies (and support a family-owned business) at Preston's Arts Center by calling 502-454-9954.

This session has a $5-per-couple registration fee to fund future workshops and classes in Jeffersonville. If you need assistance with the fee or obtaining supplies, please call 317-452-3690 to qualify for a scholarship.

This class is recommended for ages 14 and up - at least one person in each couple must be 14 or older. Registration is limited to 15 couples - priority will be given to Jeffersonville residents.

This wonderful opportunity to have some creative fun with a friend is taught by Noblesville artist Jeannette Pomeroy-Parssi and is part of a Cultural Exchange between the Noblesville Cultural Arts District and the NoCo District in Jeffersonville, IN, funded by the Indiana Arts Commission.

There are 15 places available.
