Artist Callout: Banner Art Gallery in Downtown Noblesville

Artist Callout: Banner Art Gallery in Downtown Noblesville

The City of Noblesville and Nickel Plate Arts are partnering to continue the banner art gallery to be displayed on the downtown Noblesville street poles beginning in June. The program will showcase artwork by local artists in the Hamilton County region.

The culture of art in Noblesville makes the city a vibrant place to both live and visit. The banner exhibit will enhance community awareness and appreciation of the artistic talent in the city.

The banners will be installed in June and will run through August. There will be 16 banners displayed, each containing an image of different works of art by local artists. All mediums of art are welcome. The name of the artist and the title of the artwork will be displayed on the banners. A Downtown Art Gallery Banner Walk webpage will also be produced with information on each banner and artist.

If interested, please send an email with no more than three digital images of artwork to be submitted. Artists must include the title for the pieces and their contact information. Please attach images of the artwork to the email as a PDF or JPEG file. All images must be portrait due to the size of the banner (approximate banner size is 48” tall x 18” wide). All artists must be 15 years or older and an Indiana resident or student. Preference will go to local artists in Noblesville.

The deadline for submission is noon on Friday, April 3. Please submit all required information and images to Kayla Arnold by email to karnold@noblesville.in.us. Artists will be contacted by Friday, April 24th if their artwork has been accepted for the banner art gallery program.
By submitting these images artists are permitting the City of Noblesville and Nickel Plate Arts use their artwork on the banners that will be used for this exhibit and any material used to promote the banner art gallery.
If you have questions or need more information, please contact Kayla Arnold at karnold@noblesville.in.us.
