In honor of Indiana’s Bicentennial, we’re shining a spotlight on all things Hoosier. Here’s what we’ll be featuring in the Judge Stone House Gallery in 2016.
January 2-30: The Healing Power of Art – a look at art’s unique power to soothe, strengthen, and empower artists and viewers.
February 5-27: Hoosier Heart-Land – A study of things we love.
March 3-25: Young Artists’ Exhibit – The future of art in Indiana-artwork by Noblesville elementary students, selected by their teachers.
April 1-30: Creating Indiana Together – Hoosier artwork made collaboratively.
May 6-28: 200 Years of Hoosier Transportation -trains, planes, automobiles, horses, bikes & more.
June 3-25: In the Name of Progress – The Nickel Plate Arts’ Region evolving landscape, architecture, values, and potential.
July 1-30: Melting Pot – An exhibition that explores Indiana’s evolving cultural heritage through visual and sculptural media.
August 5-27: Nostalgia – An exhibit of days gone by.
September 2-24: Ball State Alumni 1965-1975 Show – Featuring Nickel Plate Studio artists Bruce Neckar and John Reynolds, who will be selecting the artwork.
October 1-29: Heroes and Horrors – An exhibition that explores the sums of our fears and the defining characteristics of heroism.
November 4-19: Indiana’s Best & Brightest – A juried art competition.
November 25-December 31: Handmade in Indiana – Arts and crafts at all price points.
