In addition to his studio at the Nickel Plate Arts Campus, his work can be seen at HCAA’s Birdie Gallery and the CCA Gallery in the Carmel Arts and Design District. His work continues to be exhibited at galleries and museums throughout the state. Michael is active in promoting the arts and has served on the HCAA Board of Directors and as a member of the Noblesville Arts Council.

Artist Statement:

“I am inspired by the colors, shapes, atmosphere, and seasonal changes that I see in the Indiana landscape. I strive to remain truthful to my subject while looking to emphasize that which makes it unique, interesting, and worthy of being documented in a painting. Throughout the painting process, I also appreciate the feeling of the paint coming off the brush and the rhythms and motion of working across the canvas. Through this, I strive to capture the mood of the scene and relay a sense of place. My subject, palette, sense of color and brush work are among the attributes which distinguish my work. I work in a representational style and find beauty in the subtle and often simple aspects of our natural environments.”
