24 Aug Comic Book in a Day 2018: A New Home!
Comic Book in a Day Returns Saturday, October 6th, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. at the Ignite Studio at the Fishers Library!
We are excited to announce that the new home of Comic Book in a Day is the Ignite Studio at the Fishers Library. This unique, 1500+ square foot space is home to an arts-focused makerspace and is rapidly becoming a beloved home for the arts in Hamilton County. Through this new collaboration, both Nickel Plate Arts and Ignite will get to do what they do best. Nickel Plate Arts will coordinate the ‘Comic Book in a Day Challenge’ for artists who want to try to make a comic book from scratch in 12 hours and compete for prizes. Ignite will coordinate ‘Superhero University,’ a program designed for young aspiring heroes, and will provide comic-themed art activities throughout the day. As always, this event will welcome comic-art fans of all ages and will feature all level of artists from professionals to novices. Specific events and features are still being planned so check back here for the latest details!
