Local Performers Wanted: Holiday Events in Fishers

Local Performers Wanted: Holiday Events in Fishers

Local performers are invited to take the stage with Fishers Music Works at two of Fishers’ favorite holiday events. Performers of all types can join Fishers Music Works ensembles for an entertaining holiday celebration at the Shop Fishers and Winter Wonderland events. Shop Fishers is Saturday, November 24 (Noon-5pm) across the Nickel Plate District and performers will take the stage inside Fishers City Hall. This is the community’s Small Business Saturday shopping event held the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Winter Wonderland is Saturday, December 1 (2pm-8pm) at Fishers outdoor amphitheater in the Nickel Plate District. This is the community’s tree lighting event and popular kick-off to the holiday season.

All types of family-friendly, creative, and entertaining acts are desired for both events. Every act must have a holiday or seasonal theme. Musical acts, skits, dance, etc. are all welcome. Instrumental music may be provided for the performances, but charts must be provided beforehand. All ages are encouraged to apply and special consideration will be made to Fishers residents.

To be considered to participate, visit www.fishersmusicworks.org and submit the application by Wednesday, October 31. An mp4 video file or link to a video of your holiday act or a sample of your work must be submitted. Acts will be selected in early November. If you have questions, please email president@fishersmusicworks.org.

Fishers Music Works is a local non-profit organization with six different performing music ensembles that perform in the Fishers area. Fishers Music Works brings neighbors together to ignite and fuel their passion for professional and quality performing arts. Shop Fishers and Winter Wonderland are events presented by the City of Fishers Parks and Recreation Department for the community. Fishers Music Works’ participation is made possible through a grant from Nickel Plate Arts.
