Couple brings travel bug to Stephenson House gallery
John Cinnamon and Ann Craig-Cinnamon have spent three decades speaking into a microphone, sending their voices and travel experiences over the radio waves. Ann hosted morning shows at several area stations, while John did mid-days and mornings. In September, the couple will share their excursions through another medium — photography — as our Showcase Artists. Their pieces will hang in the Stephenson House gallery Sept. 1-30. (Join us for an artists’ reception Sept. 23, 6-9 p.m.)
John and Ann have traveled to more than 80 countries and all seven continents to chase adventure and world-class events including Oktoberfest in Munich, Carnivale in Rio, the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona. Their photos of iconic landmarks, cities and scenery have been published in magazines and newspapers. They have also had the opportunity to photograph animals in their natural habitats in Botswana, Zambia, Kenya, Sumatra, the Galapagos Islands and Antarctica.
The owners of a CruiseOne travel franchise since 2011, John and Ann host a weekly radio travel show called “Get Packin,” which airs on Saturdays at 4 p.m. on Freedom 95 (950 AM and 95.9 FM) in Indianapolis. Ann is the author of “Walking Naked in Tehran” and has written numerous articles for national and international magazines on a wide variety of subjects. John is a social media specialist, professional broadcaster and voiceover artist.
