The Westfield in Bloom Heritage Committee is thrilled to be hosting the fourth annual Voices from the Past living history walk in 2016. Voices from the Past is a unique way to learn about Westfield's history through the lives of former citizens. Attendees will be guided on a journey into the past through the Anti-Slavery Cemetery in Asa Bales Park and Old Friends Cemetery Park, where they will be met by Westfield Playhouse actors portraying locals with interesting stories to tell. See history come alive at this interactive and educational event!
The tours will begin at the east entrance to Asa Bales Park, located at 211 North Union Street, across from City Hall. Tours will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with approximately 35 minutes of walking. Parking is available at City Hall as well as at the Asa Bales Park south parking lot, located just off of SR-32 on Camilla Court.• Guided walking tours from the park to the Anti-Slavery Cemetery and Old Friends Cemetery Park.
• First person interpretations at each location. Featuring all new stories!
• Come and meet Westfield's early residents and learn about the community's history!
• Tours last for an hour and a half.
