Nourish your appetite for local culture during First Friday at Nickel Plate Arts! These once-a-month events are packed with essential arts nutrients and stuff to make you happy inside and out. Enjoy refreshments, live music, great art, and a cash bar featuring beer and wine from local producers.
For our October First Friday: explore our latest exhibit, “Falling in Line,” celebrating our local illustrators, graphic designers, and Monday Night Drawing Class students. Live music will be provided by local ukulele expert and craftsman Geoff Davis. In our Stephenson House gallery, an Artist Showcase will feature an exciting collection of portraits by Nickel Plate Arts Studio Artist Lesley Haflich in her exhibit, “The Women of Noblesville.” We’ll also play host to representatives the White River Vision plan, who will be on campus to answer questions about this new project. Hamilton County Historian David Heighway will be offering guided tours of the Riverwalk, sharing interesting facts and history about this Noblesville attraction. Hamilton East Public Library's Jennifer Harmon will be here with recommendations on great reads that fit our theme for the month. Finally, get a glimpse of our popular Comic Book in a Day event by meeting local comic book artists and viewing their super skills. Don’t miss it!
